We would like to introduce you to our high quality range of solid silver Clan Crest jewellery and accessories - In our opinion, the best of its kind on offer today.
All the pieces (silver kilt pins, brooches, pendants, cap badges, belt buckles, cufflinks, tie pins and charms) have been designed by Roddy Young here in Inverness, Scotland.
Roddy knows that when choosing something for a special gift that may become a family heirloom, only the best will do. He has put his 30 years of knowledge and experience to good use in creating this Clan Crest range. Each clan piece is cast individually to order in solid sterling silver so takes 4-6 weeks to deliver but is quite unique and will be an investment for the future. Roddy, a native of Inverness, first became interested in creating small intricate objects whilst at Art School in Edinburgh. He decided to specialise in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design and graduated in 1984 with an honours degree. He went on to work for independent jewellers but as time went by he became more interested in sculpting and after carrying out various commissions decided to concentrate on it alone. He set up a freelance sculpting business to service jewellers and giftware companies, which he still runs today. Through doing this, he came across an organisation called the IPG that represents professional craftsmen. He was recommended to apply and is now a fellow of the prestigious Institute of Professional Goldsmiths. He is also listed in Who's Who in Gold and Silver
It was a great honour for Roddy to present the Gathering Dirk to HRH the Prince of Wales at "The Gathering" in Edinburgh in 2009. Since then many new bespoke commissions have been produced for Clan Chiefs and Armigers.
